Here's what we were working with - a covered deck porch with a ceiling fan already in place, good bones, and a lot of potential. The only problem? Zero protection from mosquitoes and bugs. In Tennessee summers, that's enough to keep you inside and away from a space you should actually be enjoying.

We screened in the entire porch perimeter from post to roofline, wrapping all three open sides with dark charcoal screening. That darker mesh does more than just look sharp - it cuts down on glare and makes it easier to actually see your yard while you're sitting inside. The existing railing system and structure worked perfectly as the framework, which kept things clean and tight all the way around.

What we ended up with is a fully enclosed screened porch that still feels open and airy. The ceiling fan is now actually useful - no wind needed to keep bugs off you when you're sitting out there in the evening. That's a big deal for anyone who's tried to enjoy a back porch in Clarksville during bug season.

This kind of work is one of our favorites because the difference is so immediate. One day it's an open deck you avoid after dusk. The next it's a comfortable spot where you can sit with your family, drink your coffee in the morning, or wind down at night - without swatting at anything.

If you've got a covered porch that's just sitting there not getting used the way it should, screening it in is one of the most practical upgrades you can make to your home. We work with homeowners all across Clarksville to make it happen.
